Here’s the way to stay up-to-date on scams that target seniors.

Volunteer and join the S.A.L.T. Council and you’ll work with the county’s top law enforcement officials to keep track of the latest scams targeting seniors. Sponsored by RSVP, S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Together) is a cooperative effort of seniors and law officials to alert seniors to crime and safety issues and to enhance services relating to crime prevention.

The S.A.L.T. Council meets once a month to hear officials from the District Attorney’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office report on local crimes against seniors and to share information gleaned from the media.

Every year, the council presents the Senior Safety Conference, a free forum featuring experts in crime prevention as well as exhibits, complimentary continental breakfast, and door prizes.
