File of Life

The RSVP File of Life Program is a free service that provides emergency health information sheets and magnetic red File of Life holders for display on the front of an individual’s home refrigerator. This is a coordinated effort between RSVP and Boulder County emergency response organizations.

Here's how it works:

RSVP of Boulder County has joined with local fire departments and hospitals to promote the use of the RSVP File of Life Program for 55+ adults living throughout Boulder County.

The File of Life is placed on the outside of the refrigerator where medical support personnel can easily see the card and quickly obtain medical history, medications, allergies, date of birth, etc. from the File of Life.

While the File of Life speeds up the assessment and information gathering process, it also lessens the stress on patients by not bombarding them with numerous questions or requiring them to remember names, numbers, and data during a medical crisis.
